CASEY BENJAMIN

Casey spent three decades in New York working across the creative and nonprofit sectors, including work as a production designer and set decorator in film. That experience informs her approach to interiors—composing spaces with a strong sense of mood, narrative, and visual impact. Alongside her work in cultural leadership and jewelry design, she has developed a lifelong practice of collecting antiques and handmade objects, bringing an editor’s eye to every space she creates.

With longstanding ties to Santa Fe—where her father lives—she draws on the region’s architecture and artistic traditions to design interiors that feel authentic, curated, and distinctly of place. Her staging reveals the character of a home and invites an immediate emotional connection—helping buyers imagine their lives unfolding there and often leading to stronger interest and faster sales. Each project is composed with living plants, vintage furnishings, and collected antiques, creating spaces that feel layered, soulful, and alive—thoughtfully curated and entirely one of a kind.

JONATHAN SINGER

Jonathan has spent the past four decades in Chicago, where he built his career as a film producer and director, working closely with production designers and creative teams to shape visual narratives. That experience informs a strong understanding of how spaces are perceived—and how thoughtful details can transform them.

A longtime collector of mid-century modern furnishings and vintage clothing and an avid motorcyclist, Jonathan brings a refined, design-aware sensibility to the studio while leading all business and operational aspects of Smoke and Mirrors. As Casey’s partner in both life and work, he oversees strategy, logistics, and client experience, ensuring each project is executed with clarity, efficiency, and care.
